Teepee Drive, Stockton —APN 132-080-11
Dear Ms. Hatef,
The San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District (District) has previously commented on this project
(District Reference Number C200501902, mailed to you on January 24, 2006) and offers the following comments in
addition to previous comments:
Based on the information provided, the proposed project will be subject to the following District rules. The following
items are rules that have been adopted by the District to reduce emissions throughout the San Joaquin Valley, and
are required. This project may be subject to additional District Rules not enumerated below. To identify additional
rules or regulations that apply to this project, or for further information, the applicant is strongly encouraged to
contact the District's Small Business Assistance Office at (209) 557-6446. Current District rules can be found at
http://www.valleyair.org/rules/1 ruleslist.htm.
Rule 9510 (Indirect Source Review) Based on the size of the project (a 27,000 square foot light industrial
building) it will be subject to the rule. This rule was adopted to reduce the impacts of growth in emissions from
all new development in the San Joaquin Valley. Rule 9510 requires applicants subject to the rule to provide
information that enables the District to quantify construction, area and operational PM10 and NOx emissions,
and potentially mitigate a portion of those emissions. An application must be filed with the District no later than
when the final discretionary application for the development project is filed with San Joaquin County.
ATC Permitting — Future tenants may be subject to the District's permitting process. Depending on the nature
and complexity of the application and staff workload, permitting approval may take several months. To avoid
unnecessary delays, the tenants should submit applications to the District as soon as possible. For further
information or assistance regarding permitting, the tenants may contact the District's Small Business
Assistance Offices at (209) 557-6446.
District staff is available to meet with you and/or the applicant to further discuss the regulatory requirements that
are associated with this project. If you have any questions or require further information, please call me at (559)
230-5818 or Mr. Dave Mitchell, Planning Manager, at (559) 230-5807 and provide the reference number at the top
of this letter.
Sincerely,
U16,L
l ssica R.
