too November 16,2004
NOA Project Number: E04115A
1`' Because of the historical agriculture use of the property, the potential exists for petroleum and
chemical contamination from vehicle maintenance and fueling, as well as chemical mixing, (3'Z
storage, and application.
bw
3.3 Current On-Site Sources of Contamination
No above-or below-ground on-site potential or known sources of contamination were identified from
current uses of the site, except for the following: ( J
• Minor amounts of trash and debris were observed on the property.
3.4 Past Off-Site Potential Sources of Contamination
No above-or below-ground potential or known sources of contamination to the subject property were
identified from past uses of surrounding properties.
Ion
3.5 Current Off-Site Sources of Contamination
No above-or below-ground potential or known sources of contamination to the subject property were
identified from past uses of surrounding properties, except for the following:
• A diesel spill occurred at 2245 East 1 Ph Street in July of 2004.
4.0 EVALUATION OF IDENTIFIED CONTAMINATION SOURCES
The minor amounts of trash and debris observed on the property do not appear to present an
environmental threat to the property.
The potential exists for the petroleum and chemicals from past and current agricultural use to have 6K. J
caused contamination of the soil.
The diesel leak at 2245 East 11`"Street that occurred in July of 2004,was 25-30 gallons;not a very large
quantity. It was at least one-quarter mile from the subject property and according to the most recently
published groundwater depth and elevation maps for San Joaquin County, the groundwater is 20-40 feet
below the ground surface and flows to the east, away from the subject property.Based on the distance
from the subject property, the small amount of fuel leaked and the depth and gradient of the
groundwater,it does not appear to present an environmental threat to the property.
5.0 CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
All the debris on the subject property should be removed prior to development.
1i.
8
