The groundwater contamination plume has been shown to be <br /> moving in a westerly direction and has now been detected in the drinking <br /> water well on parcel 055-150-25 (Rocky's Restaurant). MTBE has also been <br /> r <br /> detected-in monitoring wells on parcel 005-154-26 (Three B's Truck Stop) <br /> along the West Side of Thornton Road, outside of the Flag City development. <br /> The subsurface environmental investigation performed to date points to the <br /> underground storage tank systems at the Chevron station as the primary source <br /> of the MTBE release. <br /> State law currently does not require the public water system supply wells for <br /> San Joaquin County Service Area 31 to be routinely sampled for MTBE. <br /> However, these wells will be sampled as part of the ongoing investigation and <br /> monitoring of the Chevron contamination plume. <br /> Copies of water sample results submitted to our office may be obtained by <br /> completing the enclosed"Public Records Release Application". <br /> t <br /> i <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
