Manager/Client Service Manager <br /> Placer County Service Station, Placer County Department of Public Works, Auburn, <br /> California. Conducted a soil and groundwater assessment as part of an underground <br /> storage tank removal and replacement program at the County vehicle service station. <br /> Leaking product piping associated with two underground fuel storage tanks impacted <br /> approximately 1,800 cubic yards of soil and weathered bedrock. The contaminated <br /> soil and rock were excavated and stockpiled pending evaluation of treatment and <br /> disposal options. Groundwater monitoring wells were installed to evaluate potential <br /> groundwater contamination. An application for site closure has been submitted to the <br /> appropriate regulatory agencies. <br /> American River Bridge Project, HDR Engineering, Folsom, California. Evaluated <br /> multiple potential hazardous materials sites within the right of way for the Folsom <br /> Boulevard realignment and approach for the new American River Bridge. The scope <br /> of work included a Phase I ESA, soil and groundwater assessments at four locations, <br /> asbestos surveys and abatement of 14 structures, evaluation of off-site contaminant <br /> sources, and negotiation of clean-up goals for 10,000 cubic yards of contaminated soil <br /> to be excavated during construction of the bridge. <br /> i <br /> Soil Sampling Investigation, Proposed School Site, Folsom, California. Evaluated the <br /> potential for mercury contamination due to former gold mining activities at a <br /> proposed school site located within the historic Folsom Mining District. Techniques <br /> used included aerial photograph review, geologic mapping, soil sampling and <br /> chemical analysis. <br /> E <br /> Magpie Creek Diversion Project, Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency, Rio Linda, <br /> California. Historical research, stream sediment sampling and levee soil sampling <br /> were conducted within the Magpie Creek Diversion Project to evaluate potential i <br /> contamination associated with surrounding land uses which included a mixture of <br /> urban with agricultural uses and the McClellan Air Force Base Superfund site. <br /> Rio Consumnes Correctional Center, Sacramento County Department of Public <br /> Works, Sacramento County, California. Field geologist responsible for the <br /> installation of 29 groundwater extraction and/or sparge wells for a groundwater <br /> remediation system. <br /> Phase I Site Assessment, Mobil Chemical Plant, Woodland, California, Conducted a <br /> Phase I ESA of an operating plastics manufacturing plant prior to sale. Issues <br /> evaluated during the ESA included groundwater contamination due to former <br /> underground printing thinner storage tanks, closure of a hazardous waste storage <br /> Racca,Laurie (1100) 3 <br />
