\.r k'q KLEINFELDER <br /> Table 2 presents information about the physical setting of the site. This information was <br /> obtained from published maps during our prior Phase I ESA(Surface and Subsurface <br /> Contamination Report). <br /> TABLE 2 <br /> PHYSICAL SETTING <br /> USGS Terminous,California, The subject site is at an elevation of approximately 10 feet <br /> TOPOGRAPHIC dated 1978, Scale: 1 inch above mean sea level. The eastern and western portions of <br /> QUADRANGLE =2,000 feet the site are depicted as a vacant field. Tower-mounted <br /> electrical transmission lines are present along the northern <br /> portion of the site trending in a northwest/southeast <br /> direction. <br /> SOIL TYPE United States Department The soil at the site is Dervries sandy loam. This soil is <br /> of Agriculture-Soil Survey poorly drained, and is located on basin rims. The soil is <br /> of San Joaquin County, formed in alluvium derived from mixed rock sources (i.e. <br /> 1972 Sierra Nevada Mountain Range and Coast Ranges). The soil <br /> is classified as silty sands, poorly graded sand-gravel-silt <br /> mixtures. <br /> OIL AND GAS Munger Map, 1999 According to the map there are no oil or gas wells located on <br /> FIELDS or adjacent to the subject site. <br /> 3.2. SITE AND VICINITY GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS <br /> The site is located in an area of slightly level terrain. Land use on site appeared to be a graded <br /> vacant parcel on the southern half of the eastern section, and vineyards on the northern half. The <br /> western section contains thick brush, weeds and scattered trees. A fast-food restaurant (Burger <br /> King) appears on site, and a car wash is proposed for the vacant eastern section. Gasoline service <br /> stations (truck and car), restaurants, streets, and vineyards appear to surround the proposed <br /> subject site. <br /> 3.3.
