J .
VI PAVEMENT RECOMMENDATIONS
It is our'understanding that a recommended pavement section will be provided by
the site engineers. An R-value of 16 ,should be used in determining the pavement section.
The pavernent subgrade should be stripped of vegetation; debris, and loose material
and any required cuts made. A minimum of 8 inches of compacted subgrade should be
provided beneath the pavement section. The subgrade should be compacted to dry densities
in excess of 95 percent of the maximum dry density obtainable in the ASTM D1557
Compaction Test.
It is recommended that a 5 inch concrete slab be constructed in front of any trash
i
enclosures. Concrete should.have a4 minimum compressive strength of 2000 psi at 28 days. . _
I: 1,
VII LIMITATIONS
The recommendations of thisteport are based on the information provided regarding 4
the proposed construction as well as the subsoil conditions encountered at the test hole
locations. If the proposed construction is modified or resited, or. if it is found during
construction that subsurface conditions differ from those described on the test hole logs, the
conclusions and recommendations of this report should be considered invalid unless the
I
changes are reviewed and the conclusions and recommendations modified or approved in
writing.
The conclusions and recommendations contained in this report are based on the site
conditions as they existed at the time'we performed our field work.
