.i
k" KLEINFELDER
An employee owned company
File No. 25208.G01
May 5, 2003
Mr. Larry Smith
11665 East Tokay Colony Road
Lodi, CA 95240
Subject: SOILS SUITABILITY
11665 EAST TOKAY COLONY ROAD
LODI, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. Smith:
Kleinfelder is pleased to present the results of our soil suitability study for a proposed
subdivision to be located at 11665 East Tokay Colony Road in Lodi, California. It is our
understanding that previous shallow percolation tests performed by others for the proposed
parcel split failed, requiring deeper tests to be performed. We also understand that a nitrate
loading study and nitrate and DBCP testing were also previously performed by others.
Apparently, this information has been or will be provided to the County as part of the approval
process. The purpose of our study was to determine the suitability of the property for septic tank
usage. The study was performed in general accordance to the requirements of Section 9-
10100© of the San Joaquin County Ordinance. The following includes background information
regarding the proposed development, present use of the site, and the groundwater depth in the
project area. In addition, discussions regarding our investigative procedures and the site
conditions encountered during our field exploration and the results of percolation tests are
presented. Finally, our project limitations are provided.
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
On a preliminary basis, we understand the subject 20-acre project site will be divided into four
parcels for single-family residences. A single-family residence, along with two barns and a
mobile home, exist on Parcel 1. Parcels 2, 3, and 4 are currently vacant and sparsely covered
with annual grasses.
We anticipate that waste disposal for the residences will be provided by individual on-site
sewage disposal systems consisting of a septic tank/leach trench system with seepage pits.
25208.G01/ST03R716 May 5,2003
©2003 Kleinfelder,Inc.
