Hazelton
Stockton, CA 95205
Attn: Lisa Medina
Re: PA-02-194
Dear Lisa:
I am submitting a revised Soils Suitability Report addressing the concerns you had in your
letter to Kleinfelder dated August 7, 2003. The following is a response to each item check
as insufficient. Please keep in mind that when this report was submitted on May 23,
2003, your Department did not have a checklist of requirements.
Item 1 .4. The original report had an 8 '/2" x 11 " copy of the tentative map
prepared by the owners. This is usually sufficient but I have added an
aerial photograph to show tree clusters, etc. It is at a scale that really
just shows general locations of features, but as you know from being
at the site, there is not much on the majority of the property except
crops.
Item 2.1 The site has been historically farmed with row crops. There has been
no known misuses of the land and the potential for problems is
minimal.
Item 3.1 The site has one conventional septic system (tank and leach lines). The
owner indicated it is over twenty years old and there has been no problems.
The tank has periodically been pumped.
Item 3.7 This is discussed in Kleinfelder's report in the Appendix. This project will
result in four parcels. Since the property is in an agricultural zone, second
unit dwellings would be allowed. A total of eight residences could be built
on the twenty acres. This is well within the one residence per two acres
allowed by the County.
