SOIL PROFILE : <br /> A SOIL PROFILE WAS PERFORMED AT THE PROJECT SITE FOR EACH FOOT <br /> BELOW THE GROUND SURFACE FOR A DEPTH OF 8 FEET . THE SOIL WAS <br /> UNIFORM THROUGHOUT THE TEST BORING CONSISTING OF CLAY-TYPE SOIL . <br /> PERCOLATION TEST RESULTS: <br /> ON JULY 12 , 1994 , THE PROJECT SITE WAS TESTED TO DETERMINE THE <br /> PERCOLATION RATE . PARCELS 1 AND 2 PASSED THE PERCOLATION TEST <br /> WITH A PERCOLATION RATE OF 20 MIN/INCH FOR A DEPTH OF 3 FEET FOR <br /> EACH PARCEL . PERCOLATION TESTS WERE CONDUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT REQUIREMENTS . <br /> COMMENTS REGARDING EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEMS: <br /> BASED ON THE INFORMATION GIVEN ON SHEETS 4 AND 5 , THE EXISTING <br /> SEPTIC SYSTEMS IN THE AREA ARE FUNCTIONING WITH NO PROBLEMS EXCEPT <br /> FOR THE REPAIR OF THE SYSTEMS LOCATED ON 13480 AND 12999 E . TOKAY <br /> COLONY ROAD. NO RECORDS OF THE INSTALLATION OF ORIGINAL SEPTIC <br /> SYSTEM FOR THESE PROPERTIES WERE FOUND, AND NO REPAIRS WERE <br /> PERFORMED SINCE THESE REPAIRS . THE EXISTING SEPTIC SYSTEMS IN THE <br /> AREA ARE USING A SEPTIC TANK , SEEPAGE PIT OR PITS , AND LEACH <br /> LINES . SEEPAGE PITS WITH A DEPTH OF 25 FEET WITH A DIAMETER OF NO <br /> LESS THAN 33 INCHES ARE BEING USED FOR THE EXISTING SYSTEMS . <br /> ENGINEER' S OPINION SOIL SUITABILITY: <br /> FROM THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE PERCOLATION TESTS AND EXISTING <br /> PERMITS FOR THE REPAIR AND INSTALLATION OF PRIVATE DISPOSAL <br /> SYSTEMS , THE SEPTIC SYSTEMS FOR THE PROJECT SITE SHOULD CONSIST OF <br /> A 8 , 000 SQUARE FOOT LEACH FIELD AREA WITH THE APPROPRIATE SIZE <br /> SEPTIC TANK AND SEEPAGE PITS . THE SYSTEM SHALL BE DESIGN FOR THE <br /> SOIL CONDITIONS IN THE AREA , AND THE SIZE OF THE FACILITY TO BE <br /> SERVED. SEEPAGE PITS SHOULD HAVE A MINIMUM DIAMETER OF 33 INCHES , <br /> AND SHALL NOT BE INSTALLED TO A DEPTH OF GREATER THAN 25 FEET <br /> THE GROUNDWATER TABLE IS LOCATED APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET BELOW THE <br /> GROUND SURFACE . THEREFORE , THE GROUNDWATER LEVEL WILL MEET THE TEN <br /> FOOT MINIMUM DISTANCE BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE SEEPAGE PITS AND <br /> THE TOP OF THE GROUNDWATER TABLE . THE SEPTIC SYSTEM SHOULD NOT <br /> ADVERSELY AFFECT THE GROUND WATER TABLE . <br /> IT IS OUR PROFESSIONAL OPINION THAT THE FINDINGS INCLUDED IN THIS <br /> STUDY ARE A REPRESENTATIVE ASSESSMENT OF THE PROJECT AREA AT THE <br /> PRESENT TIME . THIS OPINION CANNOT CONSTITUTE A GUARANTEE OR <br /> WARRANTY , EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. <br /> SHEET 6 <br />
