iCLE/NFELOER
&gMhnPh.Pi9htfolufnm.
• Various truck repair related chemicals (new/used oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze,
grease) are present throughout the repair/maintenance areas of the building on Parcel
1. These chemicals were observed to be stored in 55-gallon capacity (or less) drums
and ASTs. Paint containers (less than 1 gallon capacity) are stored in a paint mixing
room of the body shop area of the building on Parcel 1. Minor staining was observed
throughout the repair/maintenance areas. The areas of staining are considered to be a
de minimis environmental condition, and not a REC likely to have impacted soil, soil
vapor or groundwater beneath the Site.
• A three-stage, closed loop oil/water separator is located outside the northern portion of
the building on Parcel 1. This oil/water separator receives run-off from truck wash bays
located north of the building. Filtered water from the separator is sent to an onsite
evaporator where the water is evaporated out. The remaining sludge in the separator is
periodically cleaned and stored in 55-gallon drums prior to be hauled offsite by an
outside contractor. A three-stage, closed loop oil/water separator is also located near
the northeast corner of the building on Parcel 3. Wastewater from truck washing
activities on the east side of the shop building was reportedly captured through strip
drains along the perimeter of the building and the wash rack area, and routed to the
oil/water separator. The potential exists for undocumented releases to occur from
subsurface features, such as oil/water separators, which represents a REC.
• The Site consists of septic tanks and associated leach lines. Parcel 1 consists of a
septic tank and leach lines on the southern portion, near the entrance to the parcel from
East Transportation Court. Parcel 3 consists of two septic systems consisting of tanks
and leach lines on the northeastern portion of the parcel. The septic system on this
parcel consists of a permitted sewage package treatment plant, which includes two
tanks (approximately 8,000-gallons each) and two associated three-stage clarifiers. This
treatment plant was installed and used by Schneider to capture wastewater from
bathrooms, showers and a clothes washer located in the office area of the building. A
septic tank in this same area was used as a pump station for the treatment system. The
septic tanks, leach lines, and treatment systems are located outside the areas of truck
repair/maintenance areas and are not considered RECs likely to have impacted soil, soil
vapor or groundwater beneath the Site.
20172543.001A/STO16R49461 Page 49 of 54 November 2, 2016
02016 Kleinfelder .kleinfelderxom
