Stockel, Deputy Agricultural Commissioner <br /> Subject: Permit Conditions for Paraquat Dichloride <br /> The following permit conditions for the use of paraquat dichloride are now a part of your <br /> current Restricted Materials Permit: <br /> CONDITIONS FOR THE USE OF PARAQUAT DICHLORIDE <br /> (GRAMO%ONE) <br /> Persons working as applicators or flaggers (except applicators working in an enclosed cab <br /> or flaggers working in an enclosed vehicle) shall wear a dust/mist respirator approved by <br /> MSHA/NIOSH (number prefix TC-84-A). <br /> These use conditions are added to your permit based on a determination by California <br /> Department of Pesticide Regulation that an inhalation hazard exists for applicators and <br /> flaggers exposed to paraquat dichloride outside of enclosed cabs or vehicles. <br /> If you have any questions about these conditions, please contact the San Joaquin County <br /> Agricultural Office that issued your permit. <br />
