The existing private water wells shall be tested for the chemical Dibromochloropropane <br /> (DBCP) and nitrates with the results submitted to the Environmental Health Department prior <br /> to the recordation of Parcel Map or Certificate of Compliance. Samples are to be taken and <br /> analyzed by a State-approved laboratory (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section <br /> 9-1115.7). <br /> D. Destroy the abandoned well(s) under permit and inspection by the Environmental Health <br /> Department as required by San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.5(e). <br /> E. The well must be repaired under permit and inspection by the Environmental Health <br /> Department (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1115.4(e)) as follows: <br /> 1. Agricultural discharge pipes utilizing an air gap for back-flow prevention shall maintain <br /> an air gap equal to the size of the discharge pipe, but not less than 6 inches. The <br /> discharge pipe shall also have two 1/4 inch slits extending 6 inches from the bottom of the <br /> pipe and opposite each other or a back-flow device approved by San Joaquin County <br /> must be installed. <br /> 2. Install a chlorination plug for the domestic well on Parcel 1. <br /> F. Construction of an individual domestic water well under permit and inspection by the <br /> Environmental Health Department is required at the time of development (San Joaquin <br /> County Development Title, Section 9-1115.3). <br /> G. Construction of an individual sewage disposal system(s) under permit and inspection by the <br /> Environmental Health Department is required at the time of development based on the Soil <br /> Suitability Study findings (San Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1110.3 & 9- <br /> 1110.4). <br />
