NW November 23, 2004
NOA Project Number: E04140A
The surface and near surface soils located at the site are reported to be the Tokay fine sandy loam
(no. 256) (Plate 9). The San Joaquin Soil Survey describes the soil as a very deep, well drained,
nearly level soil on low fan terraces. It formed in alluvium derived from granitic rock sources.
Permeability is moderately rapid in the Tokay soil. Table 1 presents selected properties of the Tokay
fine sandy loam.
Table 1.
—San Joaquin County Soil Survey—
Selected Soil Properties of On-Site Soils.
Soil Name and Map Depth(in) Unified Soil Salinity Soil Septic tank
Symbol Classification mmhos/c Reaction absorption
m pH fields Limits
r.
Tokay fine sandy 0-19:Fine sandy loam.
