MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 99-103 -2- <br /> SEBASTIANI VINEYARDS, INC. <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> STORAGE LAKE <br /> Monitoring of the storage lake shall be conducted at the weir at the southwest corner of the storage lake <br /> during periods of spray irrigation. During periods of non-irrigation, samples shall be collected from the <br /> lake near the intake to the weir. <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Frequency' <br /> BODS mg/l Grab Monthly <br /> Nitrates as Nitrogen mg/l Grab Monthly <br /> Total Dissolved Solids mg/l Grab Monthly <br /> Specific Conductivity µmhos/cm Grab Monthly <br /> Dissolved Oxygen mg/l Grab Monthly <br /> pH pH units Grab Monthly <br /> 1 Monitoring frequency may be reduced to quarterly upon written request from the Discharger and with proven performance data. <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br /> Each groundwater monitoring well shall be monitored for the following: <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Frequency <br /> Nitrates as Nitrogen mg/l Grab Quarterly <br /> Total Dissolved Solids mg/l Grab Quarterly <br /> Standard MineralsZ mg/l Grab Semi-Annual3 <br /> Specific Conductivity µmhos/cm Grab Quarterly <br /> pH pH units Grab Quarterly <br /> 1 The Discharger may propose a reduction in frequency to semiannual after two years of quarterly data. <br /> 2 Standard Minerals shall include the following compounds: Calcium,Magnesium,Sodium,Chloride,Nitrate,Sulfate,Total- <br /> Dissolved Solids,Total Alkalinity(including alkalinity series),and Hardness. <br /> 3 Analyses shall be performed semiannually during the first two years,collected at the height of the wet and dry seasons.The <br /> frequency of monitoring may be reduced to annual,collected during the height of the dry season,provided there are no seasonal <br /> variations in concentrations in the historical analytical results. <br /> REPORTING <br /> In reporting the monitoring data, the Discharger shall arrange the data in tabular form so that the date, <br /> the constituents, and the concentrations are readily discernible. The data shall be summarized in such a <br /> manner to illustrate clearly the compliance with waste discharge requirements. Applicable water quality <br /> criteria for each compound shall also be displayed in the tables for comparison to the analytical results. <br /> Groundwater monitoring reports shall depict the direction and magnitude of groundwater flow. <br /> The results of any monitoring done more frequently than required at the locations specified in the <br /> Monitoring and Reporting Program shall be reported to the Board. <br />
