SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Fill' KOOYMAN PROPERTY <br /> 5525 WEST TURNER ROAD <br /> LODI, CALIFORNIA <br /> F!f OUR PROJECT NUMBER: E07197B <br /> r 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> I <br /> Our office was contracted by John Shoup of Shoup Land Surveying to conduct a soil suitability <br /> F1 study for the property at 5525 West Turner Road, Lodi, California. <br /> The soil suitability study (SSS) was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> Fj use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section <br /> 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work <br /> included conducting percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by <br /> San Joaquin County, Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic <br /> F <br /> maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use <br /> with a septic system. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, the <br /> EHD s Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.1 Site Description <br /> The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Site is 011-160-20. Thear I <br /> p ce is 40 acres in size <br /> (Plate 1). The county application number is has not yet been listed for this site. On the site <br /> j there is an existing residence, while the rest of the site is planted in grape vineyard. <br /> The elevation of the site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map, is <br /> about ten (10) to fifteen (15) feet above mean sea level. The land grades gently to the <br /> west/southwest. <br /> j According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department (www.co.san- <br /> joaquin.ca.us), the subject property is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel <br /> size of 40 acres.
