3.
EXISTING LAND USE
The existing land, except for the homesite and out buildings, is planted in pasture.
The south portion is fenced and cross-fenced, however, no animals are currently
on the property.
Previous use was probably grazing land.
SOILS
Soils data was obtained from the "SOIL SURVEY OF SAN JOAQUIN
COUNTY, CALIFORNIA", Issued October, 1992.
Parcel 1, and parcel 2
The soils map indicates that the soil type for these parcels is Bruella Sandy Loam.
Typically, the surface layer is a brown sandy loam. The upper subsoil is a brown
sandy clay loam. The lower portion is a brown, strong brown, and light brown
sandy clay loam.
The average rate of water intake in irrigated areas is 1.5 inches per hour.
CONCLUSIONS
Based on the test results and the performance of the septic systems in the area, it is
my opinion that the subject parcels are suitable for the existing and proposed septic
systems.
Per San Joaquin County ordinance, The maximum depth for dry wells(pits)is 25
feet. Since the depth to groundwater is 130+/-, per San Joaquin County's semi-
annual groundwater report, the dry wells will be 105+/- feet above the
groundwater elevation.
Based on this information, the existing and future septic systems should not
adversly affect the groundwater in the area.
