Vernalis Rd.,Tracy
Land Use Application#MS-01-29
Report Dated July 29, 2003
Mr. Huggins:
Pursuant to your letter dated September 10, 2003,we have prepared this addendum to the above-
referenced Soil Suitability Study. Sections referenced relate to the Soil Suitability Study
Requirements Checklist,dated July 14,2003:
• Section 4.3: The water well that was sampled is the"Existing Well"indicated in Plate 2
of the appendix to the report. As indicated on page 4 of the report, the water samples
were collected from the well head.
• Section 4.6: The July S,2003 date for water sample collection indicated on page 4 of the
report is a typographical error. The correct date for water sample collection is that
indicated on the"Chain of Custody"document and the laboratory reports, July 10,2003_
We regret this error and will shrive to avoid future such ermrs.
• Section 6.3: Twelve inches of water were used to presoak the percolation test hole on
July 7, 2003. Six inches of water were used to start the percolation test.
• Section 6.8: Page 7 of the report should read, "Based on the results of this study, our
office bas found the soils to be suitable for a standard septic system with leach lines for
the tested areas of the site." We understand that seepage pits are not appropriate to soil
conditions in the Tracy area based on San Joaquin County regulations.
so -
