My family owns the property located at 20040,
80,-90 in Tracy, Ca. 95376 which is comprised of approximately 267.09-
acres, Assessor Parcel Numbers: 251-320-01,_02, 03, 3-lots total.
We are in receipt of the application referral in regards to the_proposed
expansion project for Musco Olive Oil, dated March 9, 2018. Our property
mentioned.above is located adjacent to the property now owned by the
Musco Olive Oil Co.
As per the project description, it appears that the Muscos will be building (3)
retention ponds for wastewater storage that's a byproduct of their
manufacturing process for olive oil related products, et al. We've spoken to
Nick Musco and representatives from Musca Olive Oil a few years ago in
regards to challenges they were facing in regards to waste water disposal.
We are aware that a significant portion of waste water at that time was
finding its way into the soil at their designated filtering area and adversely
effected the soil on their property. We are not privy to any information as
to whether or not it had an impact on the water, but the implication is that it
may have.
Since Musco recently purchased the Viera property which is directly
adjacent to our property, we want to unequivocally make sure that their
proposed expansion project will not have any adverse effects on our soil or
water wells. In the event the aforementioned were to occur explicitly or
implicitly, it would cause significant damage to our property, and there
would be a significant amount of liability and monetary damages that would
be due to us as a result.
