CALIFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD <br /> CENTRAL VALLEY REGION <br /> REVISED MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 97-037 <br /> FOR <br /> MUSCO OLIVE PRODUCTS, INC. AND THE STUDLEY COMPANY <br /> WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL FACILITY <br /> k SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> This Monitoring and Reporting Program (MRP) describes requirements for monitoring industrial <br /> wastewater, wastewater ponds, land application areas, stormwater, and land application soil quality. This <br /> MRP is issued pursuant to Water Code Section 13267. The Discharger shall not implement any changes <br /> k to this MRP unless and until a revised MRP is issued by the Executive Officer. Specific sample station <br /> locations shall be approved by Regional Board staff prior to implementation of sampling activities. <br /> All samples should be representative of the volume and nature of the discharge or matrix of material <br /> sampled. .The time, date, and location of each grab sample shall be recorded on the sample chain of <br /> custody form. <br /> INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER MONITORING <br /> Wastewater effluent samples shall be collected prior to discharge to the land application area. Grab <br /> samples are considered adequately composited to represent the effluent. Effluent monitoring shall <br /> include, at a minimum, the following: <br /> Constituents Units Type of Sample Sampling Reporting <br /> Frequency Frequency <br /> Flow into Storage Pond' gpd Meter Daily Monthly <br /> pH' S.U. Meter Continuous Monthly <br /> Electrical Conductivityl µmhos/cm Meter Continuous Monthly <br /> BODS mg/l Grab Weekly Monthly <br /> Total Settleable Solids ml/1 Grab Monthly Monthly <br /> Nitrates as Nitrogen mg/l Grab Monthly Monthly <br /> Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen mg/l Grab Monthly Monthly <br /> Fixed Dissolved Solids mg/1 Grab Monthly Monthly <br /> Total Dissolved Solids mg/l Grab Monthly Monthly <br /> Sodium mg/1 Grab Monthly Monthly <br /> Chloride mg/l Grab Monthly Monthly <br /> Total Coliform MPN/100 ml Grab Monthly Monthly <br /> Metering required by l February 2002. Prior to that,the Discharger shall estimate the flow on a daily basis and shall <br /> monitor pH and electrical conductivity on a weekly basis. <br /> By 1 February 2002, the Discharger shall install a sufficient number of meters to continuously monitor <br /> the flow, pH, and electrical conductivity of the wastewater being discharged to the million gallon storage <br /> pond or any land application area. No wastewater shall be discharged without metering. If portable <br /> pumps are used to discharge wastewater to the land application area or a storage pond, additional meters <br /> shall be installed at every discharge point. Data shall be reported in graphical and text formats. <br />
