Mr. Ben Hall - 7 - 26 May 2004
Musco Family Olive Company
j (CEQA) (Public Resources Code section 21000, et seq.), Musco will be expected to provide the
information required for this evaluation. Finally, the Plan indicates Musco is engaged in discussions with
the City of Tracy to ensure its future regional WWTF will have adequate capacity to accept Musco's
wastewater. The City will have to determine whether Musco will need to implement additional salt
removal measures to preclude its discharge from adversely impacting the City's ability to comply with
salinity effluent limits and successfully recycle WWTF effluent on parks and golf courses.
Closing. We agree that recycling wastewater is of public interest and is in keeping with goals of the
a Regional Board. Regional Board staff approve of the Plan in concept. Musco must produce the requisite
project information and technical details to ensure the final project conforms with water quality policies
and, provided it does, waste discharge requirements should be possible on the schedule outlined by the
Plan.
If you have any questions concerning this matter, please contact Jo Anne Kipps at (559) 445-5035 or me
at the above numbe .
r.
