Development of this type can generate emissions from the movement of soil, <br /> use of construction equipment, bulk materials handling, asphalt paving and other <br /> related activities. <br /> This project is subject to District Regulation Vlll (Fugitive Dust Prohibitions). The <br /> purpose of Regulation VIII is to reduce the amount of fine particulate matter (PM10) <br /> entrained into the ambient air from man-made sources. Specifically, the Rules within <br /> Regulation Vill that apply to your project are: Rule 8010 (Administrative <br /> Requirements), and Rule 8020 (Construction, Demolition, Excavation, and Extraction <br /> Activities), Rule 8030 (Handling and Storage of Bulk Materials). <br /> Rule 8060 (Paved and Unpaved Roads) and Rule 8070 (Parking, Shipping, Receiving, <br /> Transfer, Fueling, and Service Areas) may apply to this project. <br /> The attached brochure highlights many of the requirements contained within <br /> Regulation VIII. The brochure is not meant to be all inclusive, but it can be a useful <br /> compliance aid in the field and office alike.
