UEC has reviewed the septic systems existing on the SJC <br /> parcels 013-220-32 (referred to as the North Parcel) and 013-220-15 (referred to as the South Parcel); both <br /> systems have been observed to be in good working order with no obvious signs of imminent septic system <br /> failure. A soil profile has been conducted on both the North and South parcels in order to determine the <br /> suitability of 100% replacement areas for the existing septic systems; as part of the soil profile task, UEC <br /> has performed two percolation tests as per the guidelines established by the SJC EHD document "Policy For <br /> Percolation Test Procedure" (contained in Appendix A). Finally, the Hanztche/Finnemore model for Septic <br /> System Nitrate Loading has been applied in order to assess the impact that the existing septic systems may <br /> be reasonably expected to have on the underlying groundwater with respect to Nitrogen /Nitrate infiltration. <br /> In summary, it has been determined that suitable 100% replacement areas exist on the two parcels as <br /> configured in Figure 1. <br /> 1 <br />
