Box 2071 <br /> Carmel, Indiana 40680 <br /> Reference No. 4260848 <br /> To Whom It May Concern: <br /> I have been a Wyndham rewards member (Diamond 4116516778G) for several years and always <br /> make it a point to stay at a Wyndham property. <br /> On July 6, 2019, I was meeting with some friends in Stockton for a Fourth of July Dinner. <br /> Since I live in San Francisco, which is a 2-hour drive from Stockton, I decided to stay in a hotel <br /> and leave the next day. I made a reservation a couple of day's prior at your Days Inn at 4219 E. <br /> Waterloo Road in Stockton. I reserved a queen smoking room. I arrived on Saturday, July 01 at <br /> about 3pm and was told that my room was double booked and had to be switched to a different <br /> room type (two double bed, smoking room). The front desk person told me that someone didn't <br /> do their job correctly when I made the reservation and as a result the room got double book. He <br /> put me in the double bed, smoking room, but wasn't sure if the room was clean and asked me if I <br /> could go check because he couldn't leave the front desk (someone had his keys and he couldn't <br /> leave). I was a little puzzled by this but it wasn't a big deal so I went to check the room. <br /> I opened the door and looked in (not closely) and saw the beds were made and it looked like it <br /> was fine. So I went back and told he it was ok. After returning with my belongings I turned the <br /> light on and went to use the bathroom and immediately noticed blood on the mirror and a <br /> cockroach on the walls. I started to put my bag on one of the beds and noticed that it also had <br /> bloodstains and when I looked in the mini fridge, there were dead bugs inside. I was almost sick <br /> to my stomach!! I left the room immediately. I have never in all my travel seen a room that <br /> deplorable! I took pictures that are attached to this letter. <br /> I went back to the front desk and told him what I saw and he was apologetic. I asked him for <br /> another room and he searched but could only find a King Size Smoking Suite, but told me that I <br /> could not have that room because his manager wouldn't let me have it at the Wyndham member <br /> rate. I was shocked!! I would think, first of all as a Wyndham member you would go out of <br /> your way to make sure members are happy. However, even if I weren't a member, I would <br /> think that given the condition of the room I was given that it should not be a problem. <br />
