Waste and improperly stored tires
were stored next to use tires and vegetation. According to T14 CCR 17354 (e)(f), waste tire pile containing more than 499
waste tires shall be located 50 feet from lot line or building and be at a distance of at least 40 feet from combustible ground
vegetation and stored used tires.Additionally, waste tires were not covered by an impermeable barrier, resulting in
accumulation of water and algae. Facility is in violation of 14 CCR 17353 (a), which states that all waste tires shall be
stored in a manner which prevents the breeding and harborage of mosquitos, rodents, and other vectors.
List of Attachments:
0 Inspection Report
0 Photos
❑ Correspondence
❑ Other
Follow-Up Inspection Date:01/27/2017
Violations and Observations(may be typed on a separate sheet):
During the re-inspection,violations observed on 12/22/2016 remained the same. The pile containing more than 499 waste tires was still at the southern perimeter fence/wall and 384
improperly stored tires were still scatter throughout the facility.Waste and improperly stored tires were stored next to use tires and on vegetation. The facility has generated 79 more waste
tires since the last inspection(12/22/2016)due to repairs and sales. As a result, the facility is still in violation of T14 CCR 17354(e)(f),which states that waste tire pile containing more
than 499 waste tires shall be located 50 feet from lot line or buildings and be at a distance of at least 40 feet from combustible ground vegetation and stored used tires.According to 14
CCR,Section 17354 facility may contact the local fire authority for approval of any deviation from waste tire storage and disposal standards. Any alternative requirement approved by
local fire authority shall be subject to Cal-Recycle concurrence.Since waste tires were not cover by an impermeable barrier, the waste tires on site still contain water and algae.Facility is
in violation of 14 CCR 17353(a),which states that all waste tires shall be stored in a manner which prevents the breeding and harborage of mosquitos, rodents, and other vectors.
List of Attachments:
❑x Inspection Report
❑ Photos
❑Correspondence
❑ Other
Signature: — r Date: Photos Attached(Please Circle)
1/31/2017 Yes 0 No❑
