Waste and improperly stored tires <br /> were stored next to use tires and vegetation. According to T14 CCR 17354 (e)(f), waste tire pile containing more than 499 <br /> waste tires shall be located 50 feet from lot line or building and be at a distance of at least 40 feet from combustible ground <br /> vegetation and stored used tires.Additionally, waste tires were not covered by an impermeable barrier, resulting in <br /> accumulation of water and algae. Facility is in violation of 14 CCR 17353 (a), which states that all waste tires shall be <br /> stored in a manner which prevents the breeding and harborage of mosquitos, rodents, and other vectors. <br /> List of Attachments: <br /> 0 Inspection Report <br /> 0 Photos <br /> ❑ Correspondence <br /> ❑ Other <br /> Follow-Up Inspection Date:01/27/2017 <br /> Violations and Observations(may be typed on a separate sheet): <br /> During the re-inspection,violations observed on 12/22/2016 remained the same. The pile containing more than 499 waste tires was still at the southern perimeter fence/wall and 384 <br /> improperly stored tires were still scatter throughout the facility.Waste and improperly stored tires were stored next to use tires and on vegetation.The facility has generated 79 more waste <br /> tires since the last inspection(12/22/2016)due to repairs and sales.As a result,the facility is still in violation of T14 CCR 17354(e)(f),which states that waste tire pile containing more <br /> than 499 waste tires shall be located 50 feet from lot line or buildings and be at a distance of at least 40 feet from combustible ground vegetation and stored used tires.According to 14 <br /> CCR,Section 17354 facility may contact the local fire authority for approval of any deviation from waste tire storage and disposal standards.
