These errors and omissions are violations of California law. Because the Waste Tire Hauler Registration&Manifest Program is still in its initial roll-out phase,we are not taking any enforcement action at this time;however,effective July 1,2004 any future violations may result in a notice of violation and/or enforcement action,as deemed appropriate. By giving you this notice,we hope to call attention to deficiencies that you should correct in future manifests and trip logs. Please make sure that these errors/omissions identified on the back of this letter will be corrected in the future by completely and accurately filling out the hauler portion of the Manifest(Part I.)and Tire Trip Log forms. Further,as a hauler,you must ensure that the Generator or End-Use Facility accurately completes Part II of the Manifest form Transporting waste or used tires without a properly completed Manifest or Tire Trip Log form is a violation of Title 14,California Code of Regulation, §18460.2(h)as referenced below and is punishable by civil fines of up to$25,000 per violation [Public Resources Code, §42962(a)]. 18460.2.Waste Tire Manifest System Requirements for Registered Waste Tire Haulers. (h)The waste tire hauler shall not transport the used or waste tires without a properly completed Manifest Form and Tire Trip Log.
