El Dorado Street <br /> Environmental Stockton, CA 95203 <br /> Protection <br /> Agency <br /> Subject: Alcon Tire Shop <br /> Integrated <br /> Facility No. 39-TI-0731 <br /> Waste <br /> Management Dear Mr. Leanos: <br /> Board <br /> 8800 cal Center Dr. California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) staff conducted a <br /> Sacramento CA 95826 state inspection of the waste tife facility located at 410 S. El Dorado Street, <br /> (916) 255-2200 Stockton, CA on October 7, 1997, pursuant to Division 30, Public Resources <br /> Code (PRC), Section 43303. The site was evaluated for compliance with <br /> applicable sections of the PRC and Title 14, California Code of Regulations <br /> (CCR). Enclosed is a copy of the State Inspection Report for your records. <br /> The following violations of Division 30, PRC and Title 14, CCR were <br /> documented: <br /> 30 PRC 42833 Operator Authorized by Permit <br /> 14 CCR 17351 Fire Prevention Measures <br /> 14 CCR 17353 Vector Control Measures <br /> 14 CCR 17354 Storage of Waste Tires <br /> 14 CCR 18423 Filing of Application <br /> The CIWMB's Enforcement Branch is requesting that you complete the <br /> enclosed corrective action plan by November 15, 1997. The plan specifies <br /> tasks that are required to comply with the technical standards set forth in the <br /> regulations prior to obtaining a Waste Tire Facility Permit (Permit). (If a <br /> Permit is not desired, then please submit plans for the removal/disposal of <br /> these tires to a CIWMB approved site by the aforementioned date.) Please <br /> address all required tasks and the anticipated completion dates needed to <br /> satisfy the following: <br /> 14 CCR 17351 Fire Prevention Measures <br /> (A) Provide adequate equipment to aid in the control of fires, including all <br /> of the following: <br /> * 1 dry chemical fire extinguisher <br /> * 1 two and one-half gallon water extinguisher <br /> * 1 pike pole at least ten feet in length <br /> * 1 round point and 1 square point shovel <br /> Recycled Paper <br />
