Cambridge ACREAGE: <.5 acre <br /> ACCOMPANIED BY: N/A <br /> Remarks: <br /> On October 7, 1997, California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) staff conducted a <br /> state inspection of this location. Staff determined that approximately 1,600 waste tires <br /> are located on site. This site is not a permitted waste tire facility (WTF) . <br /> During the inspection, the facility was found to be in violation of several waste tire <br /> standards. This facility did not have adequate fire fighting suppression equipment (:::.ter <br /> extinguisher, pike pole, or flat/pointed shovels) , adequate water supply, or vector control <br /> measures in place. Waste tires were stored adjacent to the perimeter fence. There were no <br /> measures were in place for the control of pyrolytic oils which may be created during a tire <br /> fire. <br /> Violations : <br /> 30 PRC 42833 Operator Authorized by Permit <br /> At the time of this inspection, the waste tire site operator did not have a minor Permit <br /> issued by the CIWMB. Pursuant to this section, the CIWMB shall issue a minor Permit pursuant <br /> to the regulations once an application has been submitted and the facility is in compliance <br /> with applicable regulation and law. <br /> 14 CCR 17351 Fire Prevention Measures <br /> A water supply adequate for fire fighting equipment as defined by this section was not <br /> observed during the inspection. Further, the operator did not have adequate fire fighting <br /> suppression equipment (water extinguisher, pike pole, or flat/pointed shovels) . The <br /> operator needs to contact the local fire authority and receive written verification if fire <br /> requirements other than those specified in this section are acceptable. <br /> Pursuant to this section, the operator must provide the following fire fighting suppression <br /> equipment: <br /> Section Supervisor Integrated Waste Management Specialist / <br />
