Country Club Blvd. Stockton, California, a
waste tire inspection was conducted under the California Integrated Waste Management
Board (CIWMB) Tire Program Identification Number(TPID) 1423339-01. At that time
you were found to be in violation of California Public Resources Code 42835
(unpermitted minor waste tire facility) and California Code of Regulations 18420(a)
(failure to obtain a waste tire facility permit). It was observed from the east end of the
property that approximately five to six hundred (500-600) waste tires of various sizes
were stored on the property. Waste tires stored in this manner pose both a potential fire
hazard and vector breeding ground.
Waste tires are considered a solid waste and require a state waste facility permit for storage
If you decide to remove these tires from the property you must notify this department prior to
removal to a permitted facility or you may make application to the California Integrated
Waste Management Board for a waste tire storage facility (proof of this application or
removal of tires shall be provided to this Department by 8/22/2008).
Enclosed is information regarding Waste Tire Statutes. Hauling more than nine waste
tires without waste tire hauler registration from the CIWMB is a violation of Public
Resources Code(PRC) Section 42951.
