Stantec
PEA WORKPLAN
Proposed Lodi Energy Center Site
Lodi, California
5.8 INVESTIGATION-DERIVED WASTES
Investigation-derived wastes, monitoring well purge water, and decontamination water will be
collected separately in Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved 55-gallon drums. The
drums will be labeled appropriately and sealed. The drums will be temporarily stored for a
maximum of 90 days in a designated area on the Site until required chemical analyses for
proper waste characterization are completed. Based on the analytical results, the wastes will be
disposed of at an appropriate waste treatment or disposal facility according to applicable
federal, state, and local regulations. The transportation and disposal documents (i.e., waste
manifests) will be signed by a City representative and included in the PEA report. Note that
wastes generated during the proposed assessment are assumed to be characterized as non-
hazardous waste.
PEA WP-Lodi 13 August 13,2009
