•
SAMPLING/ANALY'T'ICAL PLAN
•
This sampling/analytical plan has been developed and is being presented here in
accordance with the objectives previously stated for additional site characterization at the
Beck property.
•
Inside Concrete Reservoir
• The perimeter of the concrete reservoir and all sampling locations will be accurately
surveyed, staked for visual identification, and mapped.
Eight sample boreholes will be positioned equidistantly within the perimeter of the
• concrete reservoir. Refer to Figure 1 for the identification and location of each sample
borehole. An 8-inch O.D. hollow-stemmed auger with a split-spooned sampler will be
advanced in each borehole until contact is made with the bottom of the concrete reservoir.
Soil in each borehole will be continuously sampled, inspected, and logged by an AEMC
• staff geologist. Undisturbed soil samples, retained in 2" by 6' copper sleeves, will be
collected by AEMC at the 2-foot, 4-foot, 6-foot, and borehole bottom depths. As
necessary, sample splits for DHS would be obtained by hack sawing 6-inch sample sleeves
in half.
•
AEMC will request that the bottom sample from each of the eight boreholes be analyzed
for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (GC/FID). For those bottom samples that are visually
contaminated or odorous AEMC would additionally request:
•
o GC/MS Method for Volatile Organics (8240)
o GC/MS Method for Semivolatile Organics (8270)
o ICAP Method for 17 CAM Metals (6010)
•
•
4
•
