•
•
Upon installation and development of the new monitoring well (13134), AEMC will obtain
water level measurements (gradient information) and collect water samples from each of
the four monitoring wells. Sample splits from each well will be made available to DHS.
• Each of the four monitoring well samples will be analyzed for Aromatic Volatile Organics
(EPA Method 602) and Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (GC/FID). If contamination is
detected in a well sample, then that sample will be additionally analyzed for the 17 CAM
metals (ICAP - EPA Method 6010) and semivolatile organics (GC/MS - EPA Method
• 625).
Fuel Oil Transfer Facilities
•
AEMC will conduct additional research in an effort to accurately identify the type and
location of oil transfer facility(ies) associated with the fuel reservoir on the Beck property.
Upon obtaining the necessary information, AEMC will immediately develop a soil
• sampling/analytical program designed to determine the extent of associated fuel oil
contamination, if any. AEMC will obtain DHS approval of the sampling program prior to
its implementation.
• Surface Soils
AEMC will collect surface (0 to 4 inch depth) soil samples from five locations within the
perimeter of the concrete reservoir. Refer to Figure 3 for the location of these five
• samples. In addition, AEMC will collect surface samples from five locations on
agricultural land offsite of the Beck property. Each of these five sample sets will be
composited in the laboratory to produce one representative onsite sample and one
representative offsite sample. The two composite samples will each be analyzed for:
•
o Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (GC/FID)
o Semi-Volatile Organics (GC/MS - EPA Method 8270)
o 17 CAM Metals (EPA Method 6010)
• o Organochlorine Pesticides (EPA Method 8080)
6
•
