The
location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1, site structures and monitoring well locations are
illustrated on Figure 2. This addendum proposes to modify the scope of work presented in the
AGE-prepared Soil Vapor Survey Work Plan dated 11 July 2007.
By letter dated 23 July 2007 (Appendix B), the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department(EHD)approved the above referenced AGE-prepared Soil Vapor Survey WorkPlan. The
scope of work included advancement of ten soil borings for collection and analysis of soil and
soil-vapor samples; the objective of the proposed scope was to assess the potential for vapor
intrusion inside existing buildings located near the source area from hydrocarbon-impacted soil.
AGE proposes to make the following modifications to the original work plan:
• Advancement of four additional soil borings for collection and analysis of soil samples near
areas of previously reported elevated detections of hydrocarbons. Additional soil samples-
were recommended by the EHD to further evaluate soil impacted by hydrocarbons which
exceed the San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control Board-Environmental Screening
Levels(ESLs)(electronic mail dated 10 March 2008).Analytical results of the soil samples
collected during previous investigations are summarized in Tables Al and A2(Appendix A).
• Advancement of proposed soil vapor borings utilizing a hand auge due to the shallow depth
of the boring, and close proximity to buildings and undo utilities(e.g.,sprinkler lines
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
837 Shaw Road,Stockton, California 95215
Telephone (209)467-1006 Fax (209)467-1118
