Site Background Information: Lodi Airport
AGE-NC Project No. 98-0533
MW-2 and MW-3. Laboratory analysis of collected soil samples reported TPH-ag and BTEX
compounds in borings B-1 and B-3 at maximum concentrations of 2,100 mg/kg, 0.79 mg/kg, 160
mg/kg,4.8 mg/kg,and 38 mg/kg,respectively.MTBE was reported in sample B3-15'at 0.13 mg/kg.
On 12 December2001,two soil borings(B-5 and B-6)were advanced and sampled at the site.TPH-
ag and toluene were reported in soil sample B6-65' at 1.8 mg/kg and 0.031 mg/kg, respectively.
TPH-ag was reported in grab groundwater sample B5W-80 at a concentration of 54 micrograms per
liter (µg/1). Toluene was reported in the grab ground water samples collected from both borings
(B5W-80 and B6W-80) at a maximum concentration of 1.6 µg/1.
On 14 January 2002,AGE completed a Sensitive Site Survey report. Twenty-seven domestic wells
and five agricultural wells were identified within a 2,000-foot radius of the site.
i
The initial ground water monitoring began in 05 July 2000 and continued through 31 May 2002.
Ground water monitoring was terminated in June 2002,but recommenced in September 2005 under
an EHD directed, dated 29 June 2005. From September 2005 to September 2006, five consecutive
ground water monitoring events were performed; no constituents of concern were reported in the
ground water samples collected from wells MW-1 through MW-3 and domestic well DW-1.
However, TPH-ag was detected in well MW-2 in the fourth quarter 2006 and first quarter 2007 at
concentrations of 200 µg/1 and 160 µg/1,respectively.
REFERENCES
California Division of Mines and Geology, 1981.
