Underground Storage Tank Abandonment Work Plan <br /> Lodi Airport <br /> 23987 North Highway 99,Acampo, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Robert Kupka, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this <br /> Underground Storage Tank Abandonment Work Plan for the collection of soil samples from beneath <br /> underground storage tanks (USTs) at 23987 North Highway 99, Acampo, California (site). The <br /> location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 - Location Map. A plan of the site is illustrated on <br /> Figure 2 -Site Plan. <br /> This Work Plan has been prepared as required by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) for the in-place abandonment/closure of USTs. <br /> Additionally,this work plan is prepared in accordance with PHS-EHD and Central Valley Regional <br /> Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage <br /> tanks (UST) sites. <br /> The purpose of this investigation is to collect soil and/or ground water samples and evaluate the <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon impact, if any,beneath the USTs. This Work Plan provides a description of <br /> the scope of work and procedures to be used in soil probe borings, soil and groundwater sample <br /> collection and analysis and soil probe boring abandonment. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The site is at 23987 North Highway 99,Acampo, California(Figure 1)near the southwest comer of <br /> Jahant Road and Highway 99 Frontage (Figure 2). <br /> 2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is occupied by Lodi Airport, a private airport facility for agricultural and recreational flying <br /> use. Several airplane hangers, maintenance facilities, storage facilities, one office structure and a <br /> restaurant are located on the property. The property is serviced by two domestic wells. <br /> Two 4,000-gallon USTs and one 5,000-gallon UST are located between the restaurant and office <br /> structures. All USTs are used to store aviation fuel(Avgas). A domestic well is located immediately <br /> north of the USTs.One dispenser island and two dispensers are located approximately 150 feet south <br /> of the USTs. It is our understanding that additional USTs are located near the south end of the <br /> airport; however, these USTs are owned and operated by the Lodi Parachute Center and are not <br /> included in this abandonment investigation. <br /> Most of the site is surfaced with asphalt.
