I <br /> appreciate your quick response to my request at the October <br /> 17 , 1989 meeting. The schedule is satisfactory. <br /> Upon receipt of the letter I contacted Brian Pletcher of <br /> Remediation Services to ask for the date of sidewall sampling. <br /> As he did not have an exact date, I asked to be called as soon <br /> as the date was selected. I received a message on November 1, <br /> 1989 from Brian stating that sampling would occur that day. I <br /> was unable to go to the site because of prior commitments. In <br /> the future, DHS and RWQCB staff shall be notified at least 48 <br /> hours before any sampling event. <br /> I have reviewed the December 5, 1986 Final Closure Plan for <br /> Overhead/Lodi Door Company and the April 1988 revision, and <br /> have also done a quick review of the files which contain <br /> correspondence and some analytical results. As a result of <br /> this review I have several suggestions. <br /> 1) I believe a new Closure Plan which contains the pertinent <br /> background information from the old 1986 CP and updated <br /> analytical results would be the best approach to obtain <br /> our final CP approval. The 1986 CP is so outdated that <br /> it could be very confusing to a reviewer during the <br /> public review stage. The 1988 revision does clear up <br /> some questions but it also created its own questions.
