Dallas Corporation -4- 15 November 1989
CONCLUSION
In order to comply with the TPCA, Dallas Corporation was required to submit a
HAR, cease discharge of hazardous waste to the surface impoundment, and close
the surface impoundment. The HAR will be complete when the following two
items are completed:
1 . Analysis of existing data, as discussed above, is complete, and
2. The extent of soil contamination is determined.
The cease discharge requirement was met in June of 1987. Dallas Corporation
intends close the impoundment by removing all soils with increased levels of
nickel and zinc caused by leachate migration. In order to determine whether
this is practical additional sampling and analysis of soils was completed.
RLN 11/15/89
