Kleinfelder and Associates field techniques and to
obtain duplicate samples of ground water. P_ copy of the
inspection report is enclosed.
During the inspection, errors in measuring depth to water in
wells were observed. The nature of these errors is described in
the inspection report. Since similar errors may have occurred in
the past, and the errors cast doubt on previously collected water
level information, the problem must be addressed.
Please submit a technical report discussing in detail the
procedures followed in measuring water levels in the O/LDC
monitoring wells. Estimate the number of times such errors may
have occurred in the past, and analyze the extent to which these
errors could affect the calculated water table gradients.
Include in the report copies of all original field notes that
relate to water level measurements.
THIS REPORT IS REQUESTED PURSUANT TO SECTION 13267 OF THE
CALIFORNIA WATER CODE AND SHALL BE SUBMITTED BY 1 SEPTEMBER 1987 .
If you have any questions please contact John Woodling at (916)
361-5729 .
GREG K.
