Major ions in
samples from the three wells are all in the same order of
magnitude. The highest values were detected in monitoring well
No. 1, the down-gradient well closest to the pond; and the lowest
values were in monitoring well No. 3, the upgradient well.
E. Ground Water Quality
Based upon literature review the uppermost aquifer in the Victor
formation contains water of good quality for domestic and
industrial purposes .
s
Based on the major Son analyses, the water below the site as
indicated by sample analyses from the three monitoring wells is
of good quality. None of the parameters in the major ion
analyses were above drinking water standards as established by
the DOHS. In comparing the major ion analyses results from the
three wells, the values are all in the same order of magnitude,
however the values from the down-gradient wells are higher than
those of the up-gradient well.
The chemical analyses results for organics and metals were none
e
detected for all organic constituents tested, and less than 0.21
mg/l for all metal constituents tested.
