Victor Road; Lodi, CA <br /> JOB LOCATION: 1220 E. Victor Road; Lodi, CA <br /> WORK OBJECTIVE(S): Installation of 3 groundwater wells to depth of 70'. Soil sampling <br /> 10' depths for geotechnical classifications. <br /> PHYSICAL HAZARDS: Underground/Overhead utility lines; falling/flying objects; pinch <br /> points/ caught between objects; strain/over exertion - lifting, slipping, tripping, <br /> falling; moving equipment; heat from steam; potential stress from ambient temperature. <br /> CHEMICAL HAZARDS: Well installations are more than 100' from a surface impoundment. <br /> Impoundment water contains less than 10 ppm of chromium, zinc, and nickel compounds. <br /> Solvents may be present in groundwater. Chemical exposures to solvents stored in other <br /> areas of plant highly unlikely. Use photoionizing detector to monitor organic vapors at <br /> breathing zone of driller/driller's helper periodically. <br /> RESPIRATORY PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: None required (unless vapor level reaches 5 <br /> ppm action level, then full-face organic vapor cartridge respiratory with F prefilters <br /> required). <br /> PROTECTIVE CLOTHING: Normal work uniform with Tyvek coveralls or apron. Work gloves as <br /> appropriate for task--cotton or leather for dry work, nitrite for wet work, surgical inner <br /> gloves required for both. <br /> SAFETY/PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Hardhat, steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses <br /> with side shields; face shield required where splash hazard exists. <br /> SPECIFIC INSTRUCTION: Examine wire ropes/equipment daily; know location of operable eye <br /> . wash/shower, first aid kit, 10# A, B, C fire ext., and telephone, At least 2 first <br /> aid/CPR trained persons on-site. Block/chock rig as required.
