August 18, 2008
Mr. Ray Von Flue
Environmental Health Department
San Joaquin County
600 E. Main Street
Stockton, CA 95202-2703
Dear Ray:
Re: Tank and Secoudary Containment Assessment
TI s is a status report on our efforts to develop a Tank and Containment Assessment for
our wastewater pretreatment system at 3105 S. Et Dorado Street, and to request an
extension of time to complete this work.
We have completed installing restraints on all of our tanks, and have added additional
containment volume. We now have to make modifications to the piping, and add bracing
to the support structures for the two cone bottom tanks (solids settlers), or replace with
new supports, to tneet seismic requirements.
At the same time, we are trying to evaluate air floatation clarification to remove solids in
place of the settlers. If acceptable to you, we would life to complete this testing before
we modify or replace the cone bottom tanks. Unforttumately, this will delay completion of
the assessment.
We appreciate your willingness to work with us in completing this requirement, and hope
that this is acceptable to you. please advise.
Yours truly,
Jack Bishop
