Secondary Containment Assessment Page B: <br />Overhead view: <br />Cross sectional (lateral) view: <br />r 'O <br />Volume calculations: <br />Tank volume (largest tank): 370 gallons. <br />Containment volume — 600 gallons (gross) <br />Less tank volume = 100 gallons, containment volume = 500 gallons (net) <br />Area is covered, protected from sun and rain. <br />Therefore, secondary containment volume is adequate. <br />Design of containment area: Secondary containment is provided by a 6 in. high curb <br />around the concrete slab. The containment area does not have cracks or gaps to allow the <br />escape of spilled material. <br />Site Security: The entire site is fenced. The gate is locked when company personnel are <br />not present. <br />Secondary Containment findings: The secondary containment system is of sufficient <br />capacity and condition for the containment of releases from the 370 gallon neutralizer <br />tanks and ancillary equipment.
