AT THE BEGINNING OF POOL SEASON, SEVERAL FAMILY MEMBERS HAD <br /> DIARRHEAAFTER USING THE POOL. <br /> VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code section(s) 116043, 116040, & <br /> 116050. All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Free chlorine level is zero. Maintain at 2.0-10.0 ppm <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use, shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid,2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools, and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #15 Operation Records <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Facility does not record chlorine and pH readings. Start recording levels. If levels are not acceptable call <br /> pool service. <br /> Acceptable levels are: Free chlorine 2-10 ppm and for pH 7.2-7.8 <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall test the disinfectant residual, pH, and spa water temperature a minimum of once per day. <br /> Cyanuric acid concentration shall be tested once per month if cyanuric acid is used. Combined chlorine shall be tested as often as <br /> necessary to maintain the concentration below 0.4 ppm. Pool operator shall maintain written records of all maintenance and test results <br /> for at least two years and shall submit those records to the enforcement agency upon request. (CCR 65523) <br /> #16 Water Clarity <br /> OBSERVATIONS: Pool water is cloudy. Water shall be clear. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain clear pool water while pool is in use or shall close the pool if the bottom of the <br /> pool at the maximum depth is not clearly visible from the deck.
