Mr. Gabriel Gonzalez, EHS
June 19, 2015
The surfaces at all of the destroyed well locations will be restored with patches of matching asphalt,
concrete or gravel pavement.
Waste Management and Disposal
The driller will properly contain the waste well materials and soil for temporary on-site storage,
pending waste characterization and proper disposition. To characterize the waste, Ramage
Environmental will collect representative soil samples for laboratory analysis. The lab will analyze
the samples for petroleum hydrocarbons and total lead, so that the waste can be profiled for disposal
into an appropriate landfill. Based on the existing set of soil sample analytical results, Ramage
Environmental expects that the well destruction waste will be profiled and disposed of as non-
hazardous waste at a nearby landfill.
Proiect Report
The completion of the proposed scope of work will be documented in a final report, prepared by a
state of California Professional Geologist or Engineer. The report will be submitted to EHD, the
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB), and the state of California
GeoTracker database. On behalf of the driller, Ramage Environmental will submit well completion
reports documenting the well destructions to EHD and the California Department of Water
Resources (DWR).
Implementation Schedule
Implementation of the well destructions and site restoration scope of work is pending the expiration
of a 60-day case closure public participation period. In the meantime, Ramage Environmental plans
to submit the well destruction permit application to EHD. As such, the well destruction and site
restoration field work could be completed as early as September 2015. Allowing time to profile and
dispose of the remaining waste materials, Ramage Environmental could publish the final project
report by the end of October 2015.
Thank you for your review of this work plan and overall assistance on this project. If you have
questions or need any additional information, please call me at (775) 851-7239, or send me an e-
mail at joeramage@sbcalobal.net.
Sincerely,
RAMAGE ENVIRONMENTAL, INC. c oN' 9Fp'
O
JOSEPH C
CL R. .{
RAMAGE
N No.5856
Joseph Ramage, P.G.
Sr. Geologist SOF caF
Expires April 30,29J
