The <br /> site is located in the southwest portion of San Joaquin County, approximately 60:miles <br /> south of Sacramento. .The site consists of a rectangular parcel of Iand approximately five <br /> acres in size (Assessor's Parcel No. 212-200-07), and is zoned M-1 (light industrial <br /> Site improvements include a single story office and warehouse building,.most <br /> I <br /> recently used as a custom door fitting operation and distribution center: The front . <br /> I portion of the building contains office and support areas while the rear'of the building <br /> houses a garage, a storage room, and a warehouse. The building is currently vacant. The <br /> 1a par ` <br /> building is surrounded by concrete roadway with kinng lot on the west side.: An open <br /> field is located north of the building.. <br /> 2.2 Regional Geology <br /> 1 The site is located in the southwest corner of the San Joaquin Valley of California, <br /> near the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Extending for several hundred miles, both north <br /> and south of the site, is the central valley. The central valley is composedof <br /> unconsolidated Quaternary sediments from alluvial and lake deposits. To .the'west of the <br /> valley lie the coast ranges composed of predominately metamorphic rocks, and.to the east <br /> lie the granitic Sierra Nevada's. <br /> 1 . <br /> .
