A copy of <br /> the soil management plan is enclosed Excavated soil will be stockpiled on site, sampled, and <br /> transported to an appropriate landfill <br /> Previous work at the subject site has included advancement of five soil bonngs Eighteen soil <br /> samples collected from these borings were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and <br /> xylenes (BTEX) and total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) and diesel (TPHd) Only <br /> one soil boring (MW-3) contained concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents greater <br /> than 1 part per million (ppm), at 35 feet below grade, 910 ppm TPHg, at 50 feet below grade, <br /> 730 ppm TPHg, at 65 feet below grade, 48 ppm TPHg, and at 70 feet below grade, 2 ppm <br /> TPHg <br /> Soil samples will be collected from beneath product lines and tanks as specified in the <br /> Tri-Regional Guidelines and analyzed by the methods outlined in the Tri-Regional Guidelines <br /> All soil stockpiled on site will be placed on and covered with visqueen and secured <br /> San Joaquin County will be properly notified prior to commencement of work and kept informed <br /> as new information (i.e , soil sample results) is obtained It is our understanding that Ultramar <br /> anticipates performing fieldwork late in the third quarter or early in the fourth quarter of 1992 <br /> J e <br />
