Ultramar Station No 494 10 • February 20, 1997 <br /> Stockton California Monitorina Well Abandonment Report <br /> L <br /> • The former location of MW` 4 was patched to city requirements with asphalt by <br /> Bonadonna's Asphalt Repairs of Stockton That location was inspected and approved by <br /> a City of Stockton, Public Works Department inspector on February 6, 1997 <br /> Horizon personnel collected soil samples on February 6, 1997 from an existing soil pile <br /> onsite as well as from the drill cuttings that were generated during the abandonment <br /> procedures Four discrete soil samples were collected from each soil stockpile by <br /> removing approximately 12 to 18 inches of soil from the outside of the stockpile and <br /> driving a clean brass sleeve into the soil at randomly selected locations Samples were <br /> sealed, labeled and placed in chilled storage for transportation to the lab Soil samples <br /> collected were transported to Western Environmental Science and Technology (WEST) <br /> Lab in Davis, California where they were composited and analyzed for Total Petroleum <br /> Hydrocarbons as gasoline and the volatile aromatics benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, <br /> xylenes Samples collected from each stockpile were composited and analyzed <br /> seperately Laboratory analysis reported the samples as non-detectable for the <br /> constituents mentioned above Copies of the laboratory data sheets and the chain of <br /> custody are included as an attachment to this report <br /> The soil piles were loaded and transported to the Ultramar refinery in Hanford, California <br /> by M P Environmental of Bakersfield, California for use as fill <br /> A copy of this letter report should be forwarded to <br /> • <br /> Mr Gordon Boggs Mr Michael Tnfurna Jr <br /> California Regional Water Quality Public Health Services <br /> Control Board-Central Valley Region Environmental Health Division <br /> 3443 Routier Road 304 East Weber Avenue, Third floor <br /> Sacramento, California 95827 P O Box 388 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> • <br /> i <br /> 1494-13 abd 2 HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC <br />
