' HORIZON ENVIRONMENTAL INC. <br /> I <br /> Specialists in Site Assessment Remedial TeAng-Design 99 pq ration <br /> # L <br /> P'112' 02 <br /> July 23, 1995 <br /> Mr Kenneth Earnest <br /> Ultramar, Inc <br /> 525 W Third Street <br /> Hanford, CA 93230 <br /> Subject QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING REPORT <br /> Former Beacon Station No 494 <br /> 2185 East Fremont Street, Stockton, California <br /> Mr Earnest <br /> Horizon Environmental Inc (Horizon) has prepared this Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring <br /> Report which presents the results of the 1995 second quarter sampling for the above-referenced <br /> site(Figure 1) There are currently 5 groundwater monitoring wells, MW-I through MW-5, at <br /> �i the site (Figure 2) In addition to quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling, Horizon is <br /> performing sampling and operation and maintenance of a groundwater treatment and soil vapor <br /> extraction system at the site Treated groundwater is discharged to the City of Stockton <br /> sanitary sewer system under a Municipal Utilities Department Regional Wastewater Control <br /> permit dated August 21, 1993 As of June 30, 1995, a total of approximately 275,000 gallons <br /> of groundwater have been pumped and discharged The soil vapor extraction system is operating <br /> under the San Joaquin Unified Air Pollution Control District Permit to Operate No N-116-2-0 <br /> Treatment system performance is monitored monthly by Horizon <br /> Current Work <br /> Depth-to-groundwater measurements were obtained from wells MW-1 through MW-5 by <br /> Horizon on May 26, 1995 Static groundwater levels were measured from the top of casing <br /> (TOC) of each well and recorded to the nearest 0 01 foot Water-level-elevations were <br /> referenced to mean-sea-level (MSL) and are presented in Table 1 Due to pump installation in <br /> MW-3 a depth to groundwater measurement was not collected The pumped installed in MW-3 <br /> is set to activate whenever the groundwater level rises to 75 feet below surface grade (bsg) <br /> Horizon field methods and procedures are presented in Attachment A Horizon field data sheets <br /> are presented in Attachment B <br /> Groundwater samples were collected from the monitoring wells on May 26, 1995 Monitoring <br /> well MW-3 was sampled from the influent sample port prior to discharge Collected samples <br /> were submitted under chain-of=custody to Western Environmental Science & Technology, a <br /> 5011 Golden Foothill Parkway Suite 7 .
