Earnest TEL. NO: 209-583-5571
BACKGROUND:
Due to a possible real estate divestment three ground-water
monitoring wells and two soil borings were completed in April
1992 Initial laboratory results indicated that two of the
• monitoring wells exhibited detectable amounts of petroleum
hydrocarbons. Both of the soil borings exhibited
non-detectable amounts of petroleum hydrocarbons.
The three 10,000 gallon underground storage tanks, product
lines and dispensers were removed from the site on March 8,
1993.
A Limited Soil Gas Survey and Vacuum Extraction Feasibility
Test was completed in mid March 1993, with favorable results
for future vapor extraction.
SUMMARY OF THIS QUARTER'S ACTIVITIES:
Quarterly monitoring was performed on September 15, 1994.
RESULT OF QUARTERLY MONITORING:
Ground-water analyses show MW-2 and MW-3 to contain the
largest amounts of benzene at 7.2 and 50 parts per billion
(ppb) respectively.
