BEAVER CHEMICAL COMPANY <br /> 'SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> The Beaver Chemical Company is located at 1440 Shaw Road East of Hwy <br /> 99 in southeast Stockton. <br /> The facility dischages 2,000 gpd (7.6 x 104 1/sec) of wash down clean <br /> up water, from manufacturing, packaging and storage of chemicals used <br /> in industrial laundry, janitorial and dairy operations , to a clay <br /> lined evaporation , pond. <br /> The water table in the area is 90 feet (27. 5 m) below ground surface. <br /> Annual rainfall is about 16 inches (406 mm) per year; evaporation <br /> about "60 inches ' (1524 mm) per year. Soil ,„consists of deep to very <br /> deep clay from Great Valley Basin deposits `of Recent to Pleistocene <br /> age. <br /> The proposed requirements prohibit the discharge of waste to sur- <br /> face waters. - <br /> FOM/ap 1/9/79 <br />
