Employees Training for <br /> Managing Universal Waste <br /> Employee training for SWPC, for Managing Universal Waste is required for all <br /> employees who may in some way, be required to dispose of a Universal Waste. Universal <br /> Waste includes: Lamps with Mercury, fluorescent tubes, high intensity lamps, sodium <br /> vapor lamps, Mercury switches, Mercury thermometers, Mercury thermostats,Novelties <br /> that contain mercury batteries, Waste batteries, Cathode Ray tubes (CRT)-TV/Computer <br /> Monitors and Non-empty aerosol cans. This is not a complete list. Satellite storage areas <br /> such as containers at the Stranders for aerosol cans must be labeled with the accumulation <br /> start date, and may be kept for up to 1 year in place. However, once container is full or 1 <br /> year has past, it must be shipped off to recycler within 90 days.
